Jopie Roosenburg-Goudriaan (1913–1996) was a Dutch artist trained at the Rotterdam Academy of Fine Arts and the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. After losing her Rotterdam studio and much of her early work during the bombing of the city in 1940, she eventually settled at Kasteel Oost in Eijsden with her husband, sculptor Teun Roosenburg. The castle became an important gathering place for artists in the postwar Netherlands. Best known as a painter, Roosenburg-Goudriaan worked in a distinctive, increasingly expressive style across several mediums. This whimsical hand-worked owl vase dates to circa 1960.
